 | | 94.12.12 • 2005 Taiwan Products Exhibition in Chad | |      | | | | 2005 Taiwan Products Exhibition in Chad was organized by TAITRA and MOFA,taking place on Dec.12th for three days in N'Djamena, Chad. The products exhibited included IT, telecommunications, auto parts, construction supplies, shoes, packing machinary, cosmetics, food, from total ten companies. Embassy of Chad, CPC also had their booths. Mr. Lin, the executive director, visited Chad with the gruop too. This was the first exhibition of Taiwan products in Chad. We appreciated the efforts of Ambassador Chen Shin and David Huang of technology mission to make the exhibition possible. | | |

The guests from Lesotho were invited to introduce the investment opportunities and befefits. Also some Taiwanse investors who are alredy in Lesotho participated in the seminar and shared with the audience their precious experiences. | | |

Sasore visited ATEF office. In the meeting Executive Director introduced to her and the other guests the role of ATEF playing between Africa and Taiwan, esepcially on trade and commerce. Mrs. Sasore appreciated the efforts and expected more cooperations in the future. | | |
 | | 94.4.27 • 2005 South Africa National Day Celebrations | |       | | | | Liaison of South Africa held it's annuel national day celebrations once again at Taipei Formosa Regent hotel. Many guests arrived and celebrated this significant day with South Africa. This year is also the last year the Representative Mr. Horst Brammer hosted the function before his term ends next year. During the speech he encouraged more trade or investment between two countries. | | |

During the meeting, Director Lin introduced to him the functions and services provided by ATEF office. Professor Shelton was happy to know the establishements of such an office as ATEF. Director also encouraged the Universtiy to set up a branch office in Taiwan in order to bring more Taiwanese students to study in South Africa. | | |

More than two hundred guests joined this joyful moment and shared the happiness with our important friend in Africa. Vice Minister Ou Yang made a speech and wished Senegal a happy birthday, which showed the strong relationship between the Republic of Senegal and Taiwan. | | |

Some African Ambassadors creited to Republic of China participated the event. The Taipei City Zoo especially invited a cultural group performancing African drums. The performance attaracted a lot of people. Besides Africa art and objects are now exhibited at the Educational Centre ofthe zoo. | | |
